Dr Durgadevi comes with an excellent academic record with multiple awards throughout her career. She did her MBBS from Govt Stanley medical college, where she received multiple medals including Dr. Ambika Shanmugam Gold Medal Endowment for performance in Biochemistry, Thangasamy-Chinnamma Gold Medal for proficiency in pathology, Bharat Ramachandra Memorial prize for essay competition in Diabetes & Metabolism , Prize Memorial Prize for written Competitive exam in Medicine, The Travancore Maharani Regents prize for the highest marks in the University Examinations, The Gross Memorial Prize for the Women Student who obtains the highest aggregate marks in the University Examinations and Sri Jai Gopal Garodia Agarwal Gold Medal for MBBS students for proficiency in Rheumatology from Dept of Rheumatology, MMC for the Year 2003 – 04.
She then went on to her MD internal Medicine from the Prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh where she was awarded the best outgoing student of the batch. She developed an interest for cardiology during her MD days, which led her to pursue DM in Cardiology from the same institute.
She has over 10 years of experience in interventional cardiology with excellent outcomes. She excels in managing heart attacks with primary angioplasty. She also provides advance treatment for cardiac failure and structural heart diseases.
